Prenatal Care  with a Midwife

Prenatal Care with a midwife is different than care with traditional medical care. Wantina offers Family based care in her home office or your home. Partners, children, and other family members are always welcome. She does have a dog and a cat at her home, so if you have allergies, you may choose home visits in your own home instead. Please ask for more details about how to get prenatal care in the privacy of  your home.

Each visit is about an hour long one on one with Wantina and her midwifery students. She talks about nutrition in pregnancy and what is going on in your pregnant life. Wantina does a head to toe assessment every visit with lots of questions for you and from you. You will still do traditional prenatal labwork and and traditional 20 week ultrasound if you desire. Fetascope and doppler are both options for listening to your growing baby. You should expect the same types of care available through any traditional care giver, just in a more personal style.
